NEURELIEF (for nerve pain) was developed as a topical analgesic for pain relief by blending five powerful, prescription medications into one gel for neuropathic, sympathetically mediated, and chronic regional pain syndromes.

Your doctor must complete the special NEURELIEF prescription form that you can print out by clicking the yellow highlighted link above. Your doctor CANNOT use his own generic script form. NEURELIEF contains Gabapentin, Ketamine, Lidocaine, Tetracaine, Amitriptyline, and Oil of Vanilla.

 NEURELIEF ACTIVE INGREDIENTS

  • Gabapentin is an anti-convulsant medication that was the first of its type to be FDA-approved for neuropathic pain. It is believed to increase levels of the neurotransmitter GABA, the primary pain inhibiting chemical in the body. It is a widely-used, non-narcotic medication for neuropathic pain.

  • Ketamine is a powerful narcotic anesthetic usually used intravenously during surgeries. It is believed to counteract the sensitization experienced with chronic pain.

  • Lidocaine is a rapid-acting local anesthetic commonly used as a numbing agent in minor surgical procedures. It functions by numbing the area of neuropathic pain.

  • Tetracaine is a long-acting local anesthetic commonly used as a numbing agent. It functions by numbing the area of neuropathic pain.

  • Amitriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that is often used to treat neuropathic pain conditions. It is considered to decrease sensitization in persistent pain and believed to act as a sodium channel blocker.

  • Oil of Vanilla is available without a prescription and used in aromatherapy for anxiety, gastrointestinal distress, and irritability.
